This is a great looking case, I really like it. It's protection quality I think would be typical for hard plastic case types. It also seems to prevent the inadvertant activation of the side switch, which happens when I carry the iPod in my pocket caseless. (the 7th generation does not have a control lock switch like the 5th generation did). The only flaw I would note is that the Lightning Connector won't make connection with the iPod when it's in the case when I use the Apple 30 pin to Lightning converter; I have to take the iPod out of the case to either charge or sync it with that converter. I took a star off for that, but it may not be that important to some users...
