This case offers good coverage. Comparable to more expensive cases. Some of the other reviewers said that the graphics could be scratched off with a fingernail. That's definitely not true, because I've tried. I'm sure after a while there may be some wear, but it won't come off that easily.
It's true that this case isn't super high quality. It comes in two pieces, a top and a bottom. The iPod is sandwiched between them. There is an area on my case where you can see the seam between the two pieces when it is assembled. However, it's not noticeable, and I doubt this is typical. I think I just got one with a minor defect. For the most part, the two pieces look like one solid case all the way around except for that one area (which is only about an inch long). Great fit, and I actually think that this case will protect against most everyday use of your iPod, although you may not want to drop it off the top of a 10 story building or anything. Additionally, this case doesn't add a lot of bulk to the iPod.
Combo this up with the Splash Masque clear or matte protective film, and you've got very good coverage for your iPod Touch 4g at an extremely reasonable price.
